This comical “grotesque” head, with its bulging drilled eyes and wide mouth, drilled at the sides to show off its tongue, dates from the 11th to 12th century. You can just imagine what it must have looked like when it was in-situ. It is still a popular artefact for visitors today.
Adopt this Artefact for: £300
All sponsorship prices listed are for a period of 12 months starting from the date of adoption. If you would like to adopt an artefact for a longer period please email Daniel Gibson at Daniel.email@example.com for more information.
